a meeting is about to begin, regarding the new Chief Justice, given that the current chief justice may take a leave of absence due to personal reasons.
the question is, should he resign, and a whole new chief justice be nominated from the board? or can he take a leave of absence and a have a (temporary) replacement not from the PRA board?
things to question in discussion:
bylaws say ..."if the chief justice can't finish a term..." does this mean one whole year, (yes), BUT, cannot fill the duties for a whole term: does this mean delegating to a replacement COUNTS as filling his duties? can he do that? is impeachment an option? -->then a whole new Chief Justice?
ah! the drama continues. we should have a soap.
